Preventive Medicine Clinic
A Personalized Approach to Preventive Care
You only get one body, and it deserves care built for the long run, not just the next appointment. At Resilient Health, we help patients look at their full health picture, not just what is urgent today. We take a proactive approach to prevention and healthy aging, combining advanced medical insight with integrative and functional medicine. Our clinicians work with you to identify your unique health risks and opportunities for optimization, so you can feel your best today while protecting your health for years to come.
Why Personalized Prevention Matters
Investing in preventive medicine now means catching risks early, addressing small imbalances before they become bigger problems, and building habits that support your health for decades, not just this year. It's less about treating what's already gone wrong, and more about staying ahead of it.
With so many supplements, diets, and wellness trends out there, it can be hard to know where to actually start. Our team cuts through the noise, using lab work and genomic insight to focus on what your body specifically needs, not what's trending.
Supplement Recommendations:
Get supplement recommendations that support healthy gene expression, including SIRT1 and SIRT2 for brain and metabolic health
Rather than the one-size-fits-all approach, we build plans tailored to your biology and lifestyle through comprehensive evaluations and optional genomic testing to help you understand exactly what your body needs:
How We Help You Stay Ahead of Your Health
Medication Response:
Understand how you respond to medications, so your care can be personalized around it
Diet & Nutrition:
Determine which diet and nutrition approach actually works for your body
Health Risk Assessment:
Evaluate your familial cancer and chronic disease risk to guide prevention
Genetic & Lifestyle Insights:
Identify genetic and lifestyle factors that influence aging, metabolism, and disease risk
A plan is only as good as your ability to follow it. That's why, in addition to your physician, we offer health coaching, available to patients whether or not you're a member. Working directly alongside your physician, our health coach helps turn your care plan into daily habits you can actually sustain. Instead of leaving you to figure out nutrition, movement, sleep, and supplement routines on your own, your coach and your physician stay connected, so your plan gets adjusted based on what's actually working for you, not just what was written at your last visit.
Health coaching is especially helpful if you're working toward goals like:
Improving body composition
Building sustainable movement habits
Supporting long-term metabolic health
Staying consistent with nutrition and supplement routines
Maintaining structure and accountability between appointments

Why People Love our Membership Model
Within a few visits we had answers to questions I'd been asking for years. I'm now on the path to feeling better than I have in years with an individualized treatment plan, not a one size fits all prescription for symptom management.
Malyssa A.
Dr. Pichardo is a kind and detailed doctor. She listens to you and you feel the attention to detail, which is something you definitely want in a doctor. Every single person I have encountered at the practice has been professional. You couldn't be in better hands.
Z.
Dr. Pichardo and staff are professional, personable and respond quickly to questions. She thoroughly evaluated my physical condition and is willing to investigate new methods from which I may benefit. I've been with three functional doctors before Dr. Pichardo, and she and her staff are the best.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Preventive medicine is a proactive approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying risk factors and optimizing your health before problems develop, rather than waiting to treat issues after they appear. It draws on your labs, lifestyle, and family history to build a plan centered on long-term wellness rather than a single visit.
-
Healthy aging care looks at the systems that shape how you feel and function over time, including metabolic health, hormone balance, cardiovascular health, and cognitive function. Your physician builds a personalized plan around these areas, using advanced testing and ongoing monitoring to support your health as your needs change through different life stages.
-
Health coaching is a separate service that complements preventive care. It is included with the Plus membership tier for members who joined or renewed after May 2026, and it is also available for a fee to non-members and to Wellness tier members who want additional support. A health coach works alongside your physician's plan to help translate it into sustainable daily habits.
-
A regular checkup typically reviews your current health status and addresses immediate concerns. Preventive medicine takes a longer view, using extended visit time, deeper lab work, and ongoing physician access to identify risk factors early and build a plan that evolves with you over the years, not just the day of your visit.
-
A preventive medicine clinic like Resilient Health combines primary care with a functional and integrative approach under one roof, so preventive strategy and everyday medical care stay connected instead of living in separate places. Visits are longer, lab work goes deeper, and your physician has the time to look at root causes and long-term trends rather than managing one concern at a time.
-
Screening frequency depends on your age, health history, and individual risk factors, so your physician will recommend a schedule tailored to you rather than a one-size-fits-all timeline. Resilient Health offers in-house phlebotomy for standard labs, with specialized testing sent out as needed, so screenings can be built directly into your regular visits.
-
Preventive medicine is designed around exactly this goal. By identifying risk factors early and building a personalized plan around your labs, lifestyle, and family history, your physician can help you stay ahead of health changes rather than reacting to them later.
-
Your physician and nutritionist look at your labs, health history, and personal goals to build a nutrition approach that fits your specific needs, rather than applying a generic diet plan. This individualized approach is part of the broader preventive strategy that considers how nutrition, lifestyle, and lab markers work together.

A plan built around your labs, your history, and your goals starts with a conversation. Your physicians will walk through what preventive care could look like for you and answer any questions about how visits, testing, and follow-up work.
